Moulin Rouge Teases Its Broadway Run With a New Trailer

Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo will lead the Broadway company, beginning performances in summer 2019.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is barreling toward Broadway, set to begin performances at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on June 28, 2019, ahead of a July 25 opening night.

The musical, based on Baz Luhrmann's popular 2001 film, brings to Broadway the stars of its recent Boston mounting, including Tony winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story) as Satine, Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can) as Christian, six-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein (Fiddler on the Roof) Harold Zidler, Tony nominee Sahr Ngaujah (Fela) as Toulouse-Lautrec, Tam Mutu (Doctor Zhivago) as the Duke, Ricky Rojas (Burn the Floor) as Santiago, and Robyn Hurder (Nice Work If You Can Get It) as Nini.
