Michael Park Will Play Broadway's Galileo Galilei at Certain Performances

Michael Park will play the title role in the new Broadway musical Galileo, dates below.

In addition to Park, whose formal title is Galileo alternate and standby, the leading company will also include Bradley Dean as Bishop Grasso, Jordon Lee Garcia as Alessandro Tarantola, and Javier Muñoz as Cardinal Morosini. They join the previously announced Raúl Esparza in the title role, Jeremy Kushnier as Barberini, and Joy Woods as Virginia.

This new musical inspired by the life of Galileo Galilei features a book by Danny Strong and an original score by Zoe Sarnak and Michael Weiner. It  starts performances on November 10 at the Shubert Theatre, with an opening night set for December 6.

Galileo is directed by Michael Mayer and choreographed by David Neumann. The creative team also includes music supervisor and orchestrator Brian Usifer, set designer Rachel Hauck, costume designer Susan Hilferty, lighting designer Kevin Adams, sound designer John Shivers, and video and projection designer Ethan Tobman.

Park is currently scheduled play the title role November 29 at 3pm, December 5 at 2pm, December 15 at 7pm, December 22 at 7pm, December 27 at 7:30pm, January 1, 2027, at 7pm, and all Tuesday performances January-April 2027.

Mainwaring, Terica Marie, Rob Marnell, Alexander Mendoza, Ramone Nelson, Matty Palmer, Chase Peacock, David Rowen, Madeleine Spacapan, and Erica Sweany, with swings Nicci Claspell, Ninako Donville, Cameron Johnson, Michal Kolaczkowski, and Noah Plomgren.
