Menopause The Musical Comes Home This March

Florida welcomes back its international hit musical comedy.

GFour Productions' Menopause The Musical returns to its original home in the Sunshine State for four performances from March 14-16 at Fort Lauderdale's Parker Playhouse.

Described as a "celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived "The Change," Menopause The Musical has played over 3,000 performances and was named the longest-running scripted production in Las Vegas. Since opening in Orlando, Florida, in 2001, the production has visited more than 450 U.S. cities as well as nearly 300 international cities.

Set in a department store, the show follows four women who meet at a lingerie sale and form a sisterhood as they commiserate about their hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats, and chocolate binges, while offering parodies of classic songs of the '60s, '70s, and '80s. The all-female cast features Annette Houlihan Verdolina (Iowa Housewife), Cherie Price (Soap Star), Valerie Mackey (Earth Mother), and Sandra Benton (Professional Woman).

Take a look here at some of the menopausal musical numbers that have been entertaining audiences for over a decade.
