Broadway’s biggest stars head south for the winter.
Some of Broadway's biggest stars will head to Fort Lauderdale's Parker Playhouse for the inaugural season of WinterStage, a series of three concerts featuring Sirius XM Radio personality Seth Rudetsky. The series is presented by Matthew Lombardo and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
The first concert will take place January 16, 2014, and feature two-time Emmy Award winner Megan Mullally (Young Frankenstein, Will & Grace).
Rudetsky will then partner with Megan Hilty for a concert on February 20, 2014. In addition to her Broadway career, Hilty is known for her former role on NBC's Broadway-themed series, Smash, as well as her current role on the new NBC sitcom Sean Saves the World.
Two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone (Gypsy, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) will close the concert series when she joins the radio host for a performance on March 13, 2014.
"I have a very special place in my heart for the audiences in South Florida," Lombardo said. "Continuing to bring name talent in first-class productions to the beautiful and historic Parker Playhouse is such a gratifying venture."
Subscriptions to the three-concert series go on sale November 1.
