Annaleigh Ashford, Julie White, Matthew Broderick, and Robert Sella get ready for their new show.
The cast of Sylvia met the press this morning in anticipation of their first Broadway performance at the Cort Theatre on October 2. Tony winners Matthew Broderick and Julie White star as a couple whose marriage is torn apart by the arrival of a dog named Sylvia (played by Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford). Robert Sella rounds out the company.
Sylvia premiered off-Broadway in 1995 at Manhattan Theatre Club in a production that starred Blythe Danner, Charles Kimbrough, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, the play is written by two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee A.R. Gurney, with set design by David Rockwell. The production's official opening is set for October 27.
