Mary Wilson, a member of the original Supremes, will star in the Los Angeles premier of James Gavin’s Stormy Weather: The Lena Horne Project, to be held at the at the Musicians Institute Concert Center in Hollywood, on Thursday, September 29 at 8:30pm.
Based on the book Stormy Weather: The Life of Lena Horne by Gavin, this concert performance will also feature the musical talents of pianist Larry Dunlap, bassist Christopher Colangelo, and drummer Kendall Kay.
The engagement will kick off a two-week fall tour of the piece.
