Mary Martello and Anthony Heald Star in Gypsy at Arden Theatre

Gypsy begins performances tonight at Arden Theatre Company.

Set in the fading days of the vaudeville circuit, Gypsy features music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. Its score features the songs "Let Me Entertain You," "Together, Wherever We Go," and "Everything’s Coming Up Roses." Terrence J. Nolen directs.

Mary Martello stars as Mama Rose. She is joined by Anthony Heald as Herbie, Caroline Dooner as Louise, Rachel Camp as June, Joilet Harris as Mazeppa, Monica Horan as Tessie Tura, and Dave Bardeen as Jocko. Rounding out the ensemble is the work of Malik Akil, Zack Aguilar, Andrew Betz, Jordan Dobson, Meghan Strange, Emily Kleimo, Paige Smallwood, H. Michael Walls, Alexa Hunt, Veronica Nardo, Ethan Jih-cook, Avery Hannon, Abigail Brown, and "Andy" Murphy Nolen.

Gyspy features music direction by Ryan Touhey, choreography by Jenn Rose, scenic design James Kronzer, lighting design by Thom Weaver, costume design by Richard St. Clair, and sound design by Jorge Cousineau. Alec Ferrell is the stage manager.
