Tony Award winner Martin Short (Martin Short Fame Becomes Me) has been added to the roster of performers who will be appearing at State Theatre in New Brunswick in 2013. He will offer a single performance at the venue on March 7.

Short won a Tony for his work in Little Me and received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for his performance in The Goodbye Girl. The performer is probably best known for his many years on Saturday Night Live, where he created such characters as the prancing nerd Ed Grimley, and for his turns in such movies as Three Amigos, Inner Space, and the Father of the Bride series. He currently can be seen on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother in the recurring role of Garrison Cootes.

Also new to the State Theatre schedule is Artie Lange, who is slated for a one-night-only show on March 9. A Howard Stern Show veteran, Lange has been a regular on such television series as MADtv and The Norm Show, and is the co-author, with Anthony Bozza, of Too Fat to Fish.

In addition, comedian-actor-commentator Joe Rogan, who has been seen on such television shows as NewsRadio and hosted both NBC’s Fear Factor and Comedy Central’s The Man Show, will appear on April 26.
