French performer Marie Zamora will star in Alain Boublil's Manhattan Parisienne, a new work premiering at 59E59 Theaters. The production will run for a limited engagement from December 18-January 4. Graciela Daniele will direct.

Manhattan Parisienne is a story of two struggling artists: a French actress/singer and a Manhattan musician who has a history with Paris. Connected by music, the two embark on a surreal journey through New York on a cold rainy evening. The work features excerpts of songs from the classic French and American songbooks by songwriters including Jacques Brel, George and Ira Gershwin, Michel Legrand, Cole Porter, and Charles Aznavour.

The three male actors in the production will be announced in the coming weeks.

Zamora originated the role of Cosette in the Paris production of Les Misérables.
