Maria Friedman's acclaimed, Olivier Award-winning revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Merrily We Roll Along will make its American debut this September at Boston's Huntington Theatre Company. Casting for the musical, which originated at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London before moving to the West End, will run September 8-October 15 and open the company's 2017-18 season. Casting is still to be announced.

Following Merrily We Roll Along will be Ken Urban's new drama A Guide for the Homesick, under the direction of Colman Domingo. It will run October 6-November 5. Molière's comedy Tartuffe, in Richard Wilbur's translation, will run November 10-December 10, with Peter DuBois set to direct.

Next year will see Dominique Morisseau's Skeleton Crew (March 2-31, 2018), a new production of Caryl Churchill's Top Girls directed by Liesl Tommy (April 20-May 20, 2018), and Bernard Weinraub's Fall, also directed by DuBois (May 18-June 17, 2018).

The season will also include the ArtsEmerson production of Melinda Lopez's Mala, directed by David Downer and running January 6-28, 2018.
