According to published reports, the Magic Mike musical has canceled its world-premiere engagement at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre, which was set to start in November.

This comes weeks after the original writing team for the show, composer Tom Kitt, lyricist Brian Yorkey, and writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, left the production over "creative differences." Director Trip Cullman and choreographer Camille A. Brown are still attached to the musical.

According to a spokesperson for the producers — including Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL star Channing Tatum, and Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh — an announcement will be coming soon about the musical's next step. For now, ticket holders will be refunded in full.
