Grammy Award winner Lyle Lovett, who is part of the rotating cast of Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen’s The Exonerated at the Culture Project, held an impromptu concert following a recent performance of the show to help raise funds for exonerees.

Presented in association with The Innocence Project, the play is the dramatization of the real-life stories of six individuals who were sentenced to death and later freed amidst overwhelming evidence of their innocence.

Bob Balaban directs the company, which features rotating cast members like Lovett, along with such actors as Stockard Channing, Brian Dennehy, Delroy Lindo, Chris Sarandon, Brooke Shields, Michale McKean, Steve Earle, John Forté, and K’naan, as well as exoneree Sunny Jacobs, whose story is shared within the play. The core non-rotating company of six includes Jim Bracchitta, Amelia Campbell, Bruce Kronenberg, Curtis McClarin, April Yvette Thompson, and JD Williams.
