
Tony Award nominee Lou Diamond Phillips will guest star in the season premiere of TNT’s Southland, airing January 17, according to EW.com.
The actor, who will play a street cop named Danny Ferguson, was Tony-nominated for his performance as the King of Siam in the 1996 Broadway revival of The King and I. Additional stage credits include Camelot and A Few Good Men. He is well known for his work in such films as La Bamba, Stand and Deliver, Young Guns, and Courage Under Fire, as well as in such TV series as Stargate Universe, 24, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Numb3rs.
Southland focuses on the cops and detectives of the Los Angeles Police Department and stars Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy, Regina King, and Ben McKenzie.
