Improvisational comedy troupe Villain: DeBlanks will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre on February 9 for a one-night show, a portion of proceeds of which will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Written by Billy Mitchell, Villain: DeBlanks is described as an improv show in which "the audience provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs — uncensored and unrehearsed — as they enact the story of Philip DeBlanks' untimely demise." The event is presented in association with La Vie Productions/R. Erin Craig.
Villain: DeBlanks' cast will include Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda), Tony nominee Nancy Opel (Honeymoon in Vegas), Andrew Call (Groundhog Day), Leslie McDonel (American Idiot), Eric Ulloa (On Your Feet!), and Ben Thompson (Matilda). Patrick Hinds, host & co-founder of Theater People Podcast, will also be on hand.
