Full cast and creative team have been announced for Al Tapper and Tony Sportiello’s musical National Pastime will play the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons, August 8-25.
Nancy Robillard directs the production, which will have musical direction by David Wolfson. Chip Klose is the choreographer.
The show, which is set during the Great Depression, focuses on a desperate radio station that creates a fictional baseball team that will never lose in order to drum up ratings.
The cast will feature Gil Brady, Ethan Cadoff, L. R. Davidson, Leo Ash Evens, Mia Gentile, Abe Goldfarb, Janice Landry, Erica Lustig, Kelli Maguire, Dayla Perkins, and Dan Van Why.
The production will feature set design by Robert Monaco, costume design by Cathy Small, lighting design by John Burkland, and sound design by Wallace Flores.
