The Gateway Playhouse in Patchogue, Long Island will present the Tony Award-winning musical Dreamgirls, July 11-28. The production will be directed and choreographed by John Dietrich.
The show will star Ashley Betton as Deena, Reggie Allan Bruce as Marty, Tyrick Wiltez-Jones as C.C., Kingsley Leggs as James “Thunder” Early, Erich McMillan-McCall as Curtis, Jenelle Lynn Randall as Lorrell, and Nikki Stephenson as Effie.
Dreamgirls, which features a book by Tom Eyen and a score by Eyen and Henry Krieger, tells the story of the rise of all-girl musical group. Its original 1981 Broadway production won six Tony Awards.
