Choreographer Lawrence Goldhuber will host West Side Story Dance-and-Sing-A-Long, to be offered on Thursday, July 21 at 8pm at the Prospect Park Bandshell. The event is part of Celebrate Brooklyn!‘s Music & Movies series.
The evening will feature a screening of the movie version of the musical West Side Story, and as the lyrics to the songs scroll across the outdoor screen, Goldhuber will teach the audience some of the famous steps from the film.
The movie, which features a score by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, stars Natalie Wood as Maria, Richard Beymer as Tony, Rita Moreno as Anita, and George Chakiris as Bernardo.
