Laura Benanti to Reunite With Go On Costar Julie White on Nurse Jackie

Tony winner Laura Benanti (Gyspy) will reunite with NBC's Go On costar Julie White (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) on Showtime's Nurse Jackie. Benanti will appear in a recurring role on the upcoming sixth season of the drama series, led by Edie Falco (The House of Blue Leaves). White was also cast in a recurring role.

Benanti will star opposite Carrie Underwood and Audra McDonald (The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess) on NBC's live national broadcast of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic The Sound of Music on December 5. In April, Benanti will also lead the New York City Center's Encores! production of Frank Loesser's The Most Happy Fella, opposite Cheyenne Jackson (Finian's Rainbow) and Shuler Hensley (Waiting for Godot).

After a concert stint at 54 Below, Benanti recently released her first live album recording, "In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention," from Broadway Records.
