The Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park production of the musical Two Gentlemen of Verona opened officially last night and a party to celebrate the show was held following the performance on Thursday evening, August 25. Here’s Rosario Dawson, who plays Julia in Two Gents (and who will soon be seen as Mimi in the film version of Rent).
Renée Elise Goldsberry gives a fabulous performance as Silvia.
Norm Lewis (right) plays Valentine in the show; John Cariani (left) plays Speed.
And here’s Oscar Isaac, the recent Juilliard graduate who plays Proteus.
John Guare, who wrote the book for Two Gentlemen, attended the show and the party on Thursday.
Renée Elise Goldsberry is one of the stars of the ABC-TV daytime series One Life to Live, and many of her fellow cast members from that show came to celebrate her performance in Two Gents. Among them: John-Paul Lavoisier and Melissa Gallo…
