Kevin Bellie, Frances Limncelli, Michael Rohd, et al. Among Non-Equity Jeff Award Nominees

The nominees for the Non-Equity Jeff Awards have been announced. The prizes will be presented in a ceremony to be held on June 7 at the Park West.

Among the most recognized productions are Theo Ubique Cabaret’s Chess and Bohemian Theatre Ensemble’s The Glorious Ones, each of which has garnered eight nominations. While these two companies have received a total of 11 nominations for their work, the most highly nominated group is Lifeline Theatre which has earned 14 nominations, including six for its production of Treasure Island, five for Busman’s Honeymoon, and three for Mrs. Caliban.

For two of these latter productions, Frances Limoncelli has been nominated in the New Adaptation category. Other artists with multiple nominations include Kevin Bellie, nominated for his choreography and for his production design for The Who’s Tommy; fight choreographer Kevin Coates; Brenda Didier, nominated for direction and choreography of Chess; scenic designer Bob Knuth; and Michael Rohd, nominated for his direction and adapation of Wilson Wants It All.
