The winners of Australia’s Green Room Awards have been announced.
The musical Rock of Ages received five awards, including for director Kristin Hanggi, choreographer Kelly Devine, sound designer Peter Hylenski, lead actor Brent Hill, and for the musical’s ensemble.
The Australian production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies — which as previously reported, will be released on DVD on May 29 — won four awards: Gabriella Tylesova (Design — Costumes & Set), Nick Schlieper (Lighting), Mick Potter (Sound), and Guy Simpson (Musical Direction).
Among the other winners was Anthony Dean Griffey, who won for his performance as Lennie Small in Opera Australia’s Of Mice and Men.
