Revised casting has been announced for a concert featuring the work of young composers, to be offered at 10pm on April 26, at (Le) Poisson Rouge. David Ruttura will direct the performance, which will feature music direction by Matt Hinkley.
The cast will now feature De’Adre Aziza, Whitney Bashor, Steven Booth, Alex Brightman, Matt Doyle, Curt Hansen, Emma Hunton, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Morgan Karr, Lindsay Mendez, Kelli O’Hara, Greg Naughton, Steven Pasquale, Krysta Rodriguez, Kate Wetherhead, Natalie Weiss, Jason “SweetTooth” Williams, and Betsy Wolfe.
The artists will be performing music from Nick Blaemire, Adam Gwon, Joe Iconis, Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, Ryan Scott Oliver and Benj Pasek, and Justin Paul. In addition to paying tribute to these artists, the event will serve as a launch for NewMusicalTheatre.com, which is dedicated to the distribution and promotion of a new generation of musical theater writers who self-publish their own digital sheet music.
