Patricia Kalember, Ana Reeder, and Jama Williamson are set to appear in the Broadway production of Simon Mendes da Costa’s Losing Louie. They join previously announced cast members Matthew Arkin, Scott Cohen, Mark Linn-Baker, and Michele Pawk.

In Losing Louie, events from the past and present blend together as two generations of family members work things out in the same bedroom, 50 years apart. Directed by Jerry Zaks, MTC’s American premiere production will play at the Biltmore Theatre; it will begin previews on September 21 and will open officially on October 12.

Kalember, who replaces the previously announced Jan Maxwell in the cast, was seen on Broadway in MTC’s production of Y2K and in The Nerd. Reeder appeared in MTC’s Broadway revival of Sight Unseen and in such Off-Broadway shows as Small Tragedy, Humble Boy, and The Wooden Breeks. Williamson, who will make her Broadway debut in Losing Louie, has been seen Off-Broadway in Debbie Does Dallas, Spanish Girl, and Eat the Runt.

In other MTC news, Tony Award nominee Alison Pill will join previously announced star Jeff Daniels in David Harrower’s Blackbird. The production, to be directed by Joe Mantello, will begin performances on March 15 and is slated to open on April 10. Pill is currently starring on Broadway in The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

The company has also announced dates for David Grieg’s The American Pilot, which is scheduled to begin performances on November 2 and to open officially on November 21 at MTC’s Stage II Theater. The play is set in a rural village in a war-torn country; when an American pilot crash-lands there, the villagers must decide whether to help him, kill him, or use him as a pawn against their enemies.
