Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff will become a regular on the second season of Starz’s award-winning drama series Boss, according to Deadline.com.

The show stars Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer as Chicago mayor Tom Kane. Groff will play Ian Todd, who is described as an ambitious staffer. The website also reports that stage and film star Saana Lathan is finalizing a deal to play Mona, Kane’s incorruptible new chief of staff.

Groff received a Tony Award nomination for his starring performance in Spring Awakening. His many other stage credits include Hair, The Bachaae, Deathtrap, and The Submission. He is well known for his role as Jesse St. James on FOX’s Glee and will guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS’ The Good Wife.
