John Lloyd Young, Susan Egan, and Sally Kellerman are among the performers set to pay tribute to Stephen Sondheim with a cabaret of his music at Ryan Black’s 88’s Cabaret in West Holllywood. The event, called Sondheim Summer: A Tribute To Stephen Sondheim, will be held on August. 17.
Other performers scheduled to appear in the tribute to the man who’s written such musicals ranging from Gypsy to Into the Woods are: Daisy Eagan; Composer Georgia Stitt, Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita; and HIla Plitmann, star of the new Stephen Schwartz opera, Séance on a Wet Afternoon. Other performers are expected and will be announced at a later date. Musical direction will be by Dean Mora.
