John Aylward, previously announced to be joining the cast of the upcoming Broadway production of Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick Shanley's new drama, Outside Mullingar, has announced his withdrawal from the show by mutual agreement. Peter Maloney will take on the role of Tony in his place.

Maloney's most recent Broadway credits include West Side Story, To Be or Not To Be, Dinner at Eight, and Judgment at Nuremberg. He joins a cast starring Emmy Award winner Debra Messing (Will & Grace, Smash) and Tony winner Brían F. O'Byrne (Frozen, Doubt), along with the previously announced Dearbhla Molloy (Dancing at Lughnasa).

The world premiere play follows Anthony (O'Byrne), a recluse living on a cattle farm in rural Ireland, while his next-door neighbor Rosemary (Messing) longs for him as the years pass them by. Tony winner Doug Hughes directs.

Performances begin January 3 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
