Stage veterans and film stars Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy will co-star in a double-feature film project for Myriad Pictures, according to Deadline.com.
Ned Benson will serve as writer and director for The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her, about a married couple dealing with a life-altering experience from the different perspectives of the husband and wife.
Chastain will star in a Broadway revival of The Heiress in Fall 2012. Her previous stage credits include Othello, Rodney’s Wife, and Salome. She has garnered much acclaim and numerous awards for her recent work in the films, The Help, The Tree of Life and Take Shelter.
McAvoy’s stage credits include Three Days of Rain, for which he received an Olivier Award nomination, in addition to Breathing Corpses and Privates on Parade. He received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Atonement, with other film credits including X-Men: First Class, The Last Station, The Last King of Scotland, Becoming Jane and Starter for Ten.
