Jerry Dixon, Jenn Colella, and More Join Idina Menzel in Broadway’s If/Then

Jerry Dixon (tick, tick…Boom!), Jenn Colella (Chaplin), Jason Tam (Marry Me a Little), and Tamika Lawrence (Matilda) will complete the principal casting of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey’s new Broadway-bound musical, If/Then. They join the previously announced Idina Menzel, LaChanze, Anthony Rapp, and James Snyder.

If/Then stars Menzel as Elizabeth, a woman who moves back to New York City with the intentions of starting fresh as she turns 40. But even the smallest decisions or most random occurrences have the ability to impact her world in ways she never expected. Michael Greif directs the musical, which will play Washington, D.C.’s National Theatre November 5-December 8, followed by Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre beginning March 4. Opening night is March 27.

The production marks the continuation of a number of fruitful artistic collaborations. It reunites Kitt and Yorkey, the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning writers of Next to Normal; original Rent stars Menzel and Rapp with their director Greif; and Menzel and her Wicked producer, David Stone. It will also be Dixon and LaChanze’s third original musical together in which they have created roles.
