Tepper will be joined by original ”Chorus Line” cast member Baayork Lee and more.
Musical-theater historian and author Jennifer Ashley Tepper will discuss her best-selling book series, The Untold Stories of Broadway, at a free event at the New York City Public Library for the Performing Arts on Monday, March 2, at 6pm.
The book series, two volumes of which have been released, offers a backstage view of several Broadway theaters told from the perspective of actors, directors, stagehands, ushers, and other theater professionals. Joining Tepper for the discussion are original Chorus Line cast member Baayork Lee, recent Here Lies Love star Jose Llana, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time leading man Taylor Trensch.
Books will be available for purchase before and after the talk. Tepper, the current director of programming at 54 Below, will be signing books from 5:30-6pm. Seats for this free event can be reserved by clicking here.
A portion of the proceeds from The Untold Stories of Broadway, Volumes 1 and 2, benefit the education programs at Theatre Development Fund.
The New York City Public Library for the Performing Arts is located at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza.
