Full casting has been announced for Paper Mill Playhouse’s production of The Full Monty, to run June 10-July 12, with an opening set for June 14. The musical, featuring a a book by Terrence McNally with music and lyrics by David Yazbek, will be directed by Mark S. Hoebee, with musical direction by Tom Helm and choreography by Denis Jones.
Based on the international hit film, this grin and bare-it-all musical comedy winningly tells the story of a dispirited group of unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York, who are desperate to make some quick cash by becoming male strippers at a local club.
In addition to the previously announced Elaine Stritch as Jeanette Burmeister, the principal cast will include Wayne Wilcox (Jerry Lukowski), Joe Coots (Dave Bukatinsky), Michael Rupert (Harold Nichols), Milton Craig Nealy (Noah “Horse” T. Simmons), Jenn Colella (Georgie Bukatinsky), Michele Ragusa (Vicki Nichols), Kelly Sullivan (Pam Lukowski), Jason Babinsky (Ethan Girard), and Allen E. Read (Malcolm MacGregor).
The cast will also feature Xander Chauncey, Jacqueline Colmer, Rheaume Crenshaw, Holly Davis, Mark Fisher, Jerome Lucas Harmann, Susan J. Jacks, Alex Maizus, Brian Ray Norris, Rob Richardson, Luke Marcus Rosen, Timothy Smith, Catherine Lena Stephani, and Corey James Wright.
Stritch won a Tony Award for Elaine Stritch: At Liberty, and her many Broadway credits include Pal Joey, Goldilocks, Sail Away, Company, and A Delicate Balance.
