Stage veterans Jason Alexander and Steven Weber will star alongside Drake Bell, Daniella Monet, and Cheryl Hines in Nickelodeon’s A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner!, according to TVGuide.com.
The movie, which is an offshoot of the channel’s hit animated series The Fairly Oddparents, will mix live action with CG animation. It will follow a now-23-year-old Timmy (Bell), who has refused to grow up and is still in the fifth grade, but who considers changing his mind when he falls in love with a beautiful woman.
Alexander will play Timmy’s godfather, Cosmo. He won the Tony Award for Jerome Robbins Broadway and is currently artistic director of Reprise Theater Company. He is best known for his role as George on Seinfeld.
Weber will play a larger-than-life oil tycoon who turns his attention to capturing Timmy’s fairies and using their power to fuel his maniacal ambition. His Broadway credits include The Philanthropist and The Producers, and he has starred on such television series as Wings and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
