Marilu Henner and Christopher Lloyd were on hand to celebrate Danny DeVito and Judd Hirsch’s opening night in the Neil Simon comedy.
Center Theatre Group’s production of Neil Simon’s 1972 comedy The Sunshine Boys, featuring former Taxi costars Danny DeVito and Judd Hirsch, celebrated its opening night on Wednesday, October 2.
Scheduled to run at the Ahmanson Theatre through November 3, The Sunshine Boys follows Al Lewis and Willie Clark, better known as the retired vaudevillian team Lewis and Clark. They have not spoken with each other since breaking up their act, and now it proves difficult to get the two to agree to a reunion after they’re invited to participate in a CBS special documenting the history of comedy.
Take a look at some opening-night photos of DeVito and Hirsch, along with director Thea Sharrock, playwright Neil Simon, and several other notables who stopped by to show their support.
