The Latino theater company INTAR, which was originally set to present its new program of one-acts at the now shuttered Zipper Factory Theater, will now present the double-bill at the Cherry Lane Theater, February 15-March 7, with an opening set for February 18. Billy Hopkins will direct.
In Eduardo Machado’s In Paradise, an estranged husband shows up on his wife’s doorstep after being left by his male lover. Nick Norman’s lyrical new play She Plundered Him a man becomes convinced that he saw something unseemly pass between his wife and son, which threatens to destroy the family unit.
The cast will include Leslie Lyles (Marilyn) and Ed Vassallo (Carlos) for In Paradise; and James Chen (Anthony), Leslie Lyles (Keep), and Mark Elliot Wilson (Calder) in She Plundered Him.
INTAR will present another play later this season, with details to be announced at a later date.
