Informed Consent, a new play by Deborah Zoe Laufer, has begun its Primary Stages and Ensemble Studio Theatre run at the Duke on 42nd Street. Liesl Tommy directs the production, which has an opening night set for August 18.

The drama follows one woman's quest to answer the mysteries of science and her own life, inspired by a landmark court case between one of the country's largest universities and a Native American tribe based in the Grand Canyon. The cast is made up of Pun Bandhu, Tina Benko, Jesse J. Perez, DeLanna Studi, and Myra Lucretia Taylor. It is presented as a collaboration between Primary Stages and Ensemble Studio Theatre ands runs through September 13.
