Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes’s award-winning musical enjoyed a brief run at the Kennedy Center.
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts continued its inaugural season of Broadway Center Stage with a sold-out run of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes's Tony-winning and Pulitzer Prize-nominated musical In the Heights from March 21-25.
Directed and choreographed by Stephanie Klemons, the star-studded DC cast featured Vanessa Hudgens as Vanessa, Anthony Ramos as Usnavi, Ana Villafañe as Nina, Mateo Ferro as Sonny, Eden Espinosa as Daniela, J. Quinton Johnson as Benny, original Broadway cast member Blanca Camacho as Camila, Saundra Santiago as Abuela Claudia, Broadway cast member Rick Negron returning to the role of Kevin, Virgil Gadson as Graffiti Pete, Arianna Rosario as Carla, and original Broadway cast member Eliseo Roman reprising the role of Piragua Guy.
