After breaking Geffen Playhouse's season production box office records during its first stint, Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin returns at the Gil Cates Theater starting tonight. The show chronicles the remarkable life of Irving Berlin. From Czarist Russia to New York’s Lower East Side, Irving Berlin became America’s composer, exemplifying the American dream along the way. The musical features some of his best-known hits such as "Alexander’s Ragtime Band," "Always," "Blue Skies," "God Bless America," "Puttin’ on the Ritz," "There’s No Business Like Show Business," and "White Christmas."

This return engagement features Hershey Felder, who wrote the book, with lyrics and music by Irving Berlin. Trevor Hay directs the production.

The creative team includes Hershey Felder and Trevor Hay (set design), Richard Norwood (lighting design), Andrew Wilder (projection design), and Erik Carstensen (sound design and production manager).

Performances will run through August 16.
