Heidi Blickenstaff, Pamela Myers, and Ron Raines Set for Signature Theatre's Sondheim Award Gala

The sixth annual event will honor Sondheim collaborator Jonathan Tunick and composer Nick Blaemire.

Broadway's Heidi Blickenstaff, Pamela Myers, and Ron Raines have been announced to perform alongside an 18-piece orchestra at Signature Theatre's sixth annual Sondheim Award Gala on April 7 at the Embassy of Italy. The event will honor orchestrator and longtime Stephen Sondheim collaborator Jonathan Tunick.

Tunick will receive Signature's fifth Stephen Sondheim Award, and Nick Blaemire, composer of Signature's upcoming production of Soon, will be honored with the Stephen Sondheim Young Artist Citation. The gala event benefits Signature's artistic, educational, and community programs. It is sponsored by The Boeing Company.

Blickenstaff, Myers, and Raines each have a personal connection to Tunick. Blickenstaff (Broadway's [title of show]) worked with him on the 2007 Ford's Theatre production of Meet John Doe. Pamela Myers (Into the Woods), originated the role of Marta in Company, and Ron Raines (Show Boat) performed the role of Ben Stone in the 2011 Broadway revival of Follies.

In addition to Blickenstaff, Myers, and Raines, the evening will feature performances by Jean Cantrell, Austin Colby, Susan Derry, Erin Driscoll, Maria Egler, Bob McDonald, Donna Migliaccio, Angela Miller, Christopher Mueller, Nova Y. Payton, Paul Scanlan, Bobby Smith, and Stephen Gregory Smith.
