The stars will take the stage to perform showtunes with a 17-piece jazz orchestra.
Several Broadway veterans will join Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band for the group's upcoming Feinstein's/54 Below show on Saturday, October 10 at 9:30pm.
The evening reimagines classic showtunes for a full-size jazz orchestra of 17 musicians, led by musical director, bandleader, and Drama Desk-nominated orchestrator Rosen. The cast for the upcoming show will include returning Big Band vets Hannah Elless (Godspell), Rebecca Naomi Jones (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Adam Kaplan (Newsies), Lauren "LOLO" Pritchard (Spring Awakening), and Nicholas Christopher (Whorl Inside A Loop), with additional performers to be announced at a later date. Rosen coproduces the show alongside director Max Friedman.
Rosen is a 2015 Drama Desk Award nominee for his contributions to the orchestrations of Jason Robert Brown's Honeymoon in Vegas score, and could recently be heard in the orchestra of Kander and Ebb's The Visit. He has previously worked on the Broadway productions of Cyrano de Bergerac, One Man, Two Guvnors, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and 13.
