Applications are being accepted now through August 1 for the second annual T. Fellowship, established in honor of late Broadway producer T. Edward Hambleton, who passed away in 2005.
The Fellowship is a one-year program managed by Columbia University School of the Arts that is offered to aspiring theatrical producers. During the first phase of the program, the Fellow will take classes and serve as an apprentice to working professionals. During the second phase, he or she will receive a $10,000 stipend to develop a new theatrical production, budgeted at $20,000.
Some of Broadway’s most accomplished producers will serve as mentors throughout the program, including Margo Lion, Gregory Mosher, Tom Schumacher, Jeffrey Seller, David Stone, and program founder Harold Prince, who has received 21 Tony Awards, more than any other individual in history.
The program will begin in the fall of 2013 following the announcement of the Fellow on October 1.
