The new musical Hands on a Hardbody, currently playing at La Jolla Playhouse, will come to Broadway during the 2012-2013 season. A theater and additional information will be announced at a later date.
Inspired by true events and based on S.R. Bindler and Kevin Morris’ acclaimed 1997 documentary of the same name, the musical centers on ten hard-luck Texans fighting to keep at least one hand on a brand new truck in order to win it. It features a book by Doug Wright, lyrics by Amanda Green, and music by Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green. Neil Pepe directs.
