Hair National Tour Announces Schedule

The schedule for the national tour of Hair has been announced, after a brief engagement at New Haven’s Shubert Theatre (October 21-24), which is being billed as a “sneak-peek,” the tour will launch in Washington, DC, running October 26 – November 21 in the Opera House at the Kennedy Center.

The tour will continue with engagements at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA (November 28 – December 5), the Gammage Theatre in Tempe, AZ (December 7-12), the Keller Theatre in Portland, OR (December 28 – January 2), the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles (January 5-23), the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, CA (January 25 – February 6), Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, PA (February 15-20), the Marcus Center in Milwaukee, WI (February 22-27), the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN (March 1-6), a Chicago venue TBA (March 8-20), the Colonial Theatre in Boston (March 22 – April 10), the Hershey Theatre in Hersey, PA (April 12-17), the Bushnell in Hartford, CT (April 26 – May 1), Proctors in Schenectady, NY (May 3-8), the Durham PAC in Durham, NC (May 10 – 15), the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA (May 17-22), the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa Bay, FL (May 24-29), the Adrienne Arscht Center in Miami, FL (May 31 – June 5), the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, FL (June 7-19) and the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center in Orlando, FL (June 21-26).

With a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot, the show has been directed by Diane Paulus, and features choreography by Karole Armitage. The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Michael McDonald (costume design), Kevin Adams (lighting design) and Acme Sound Partners (sound design).
