Complete casting is set for the Broadway premiere of the new musical Shucked, written by Robert Horn (book) and Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally (score).

Rounding out the principal company will be Grey Henson, alongside ensemble members Jimmy Brewer, Audrey Cardwell, Dwayne Clark, Rheaume Crenshaw, Jaygee Macapugay, Scott Stangland, Yasmeen Sulieman, and Quinn VanAntwerp. The swings are Miki Abraham, Ken Clark, Traci Elaine Lee, and Alan Wiggins.

They join the previously announced John Behlmann, Kevin Cahoon, Andrew Durand, Caroline Innerbichler, Ashley D. Kelley, and Alex Newell.

Shucked will play Broadway's Nederlander Theatre beginning Wednesday, March 8 for a Tuesday, April 4 opening night.

Directed by Jack O'Brien, Shucked has choreography by Sarah O'Gleby and music supervision, direction, orchestrations, and arrangements by Jason Howland. The design team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Tilly Grimes (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), John Shivers (sound design), and Mia Neal (hair and wig design).

Set in a rural community isolated from the world by a wall of economy-driving corn stalks, Shucked follows what happens when the crop begins to fail, and a young woman leaves behind Cob County to try and find someone who can save her town.

Shucked recently played a brief pre-Broadway run at the Pioneer Theatre Company in Utah. It is the second musical from book writer Horn and composer/lyricists Clark and McAnally, following Moonshine: That Hee-Haw Musical, an unrelated project that ran in 2015 at the Dallas Theatre Center and has since been abandoned.
