Gillian Anderson and Lily James Heading to Movie Theaters in All About Eve

National Theatre Live presents a filmed version of the production, directed by Ivo van Hove.

Ivo van Hove's upcoming West End production of All About Eve, starring Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) and Lily James (Cinderella), will be be screened in cinemas internationally April 11 with National Theatre Live. The to-be-announced venue list will be available here.

Anderson will take on the role of Margo Channing, with James as Eve Harrington. The show will also feature Monica Dolan, Sheila Reid, and Rhashan Stone. Further casting is to be announced. Cate Blanchett was originally to appear in the production.

Set and lighting will be by Jan Versweyveld, with costumes by An D'Huys, and sound design from Tom Gibbons. Music will be by British pop star P.J. Harvey.

All About Eve is the stage production of the 1950 film of the same name, which was in turn based on Mary Orr's 1946 play The Wisdom of Eve.
