Geffen Records will release the soundtrack to the film version of the Tony Award-winning musical Nine, which is set to open on November 25. The film is produced by the Weinstein Co. and directed by Emmy Award winner Rob Marshall.

Based on the Federico Fellini film 8 1/2, the musical has a score by Maury Yeston — who has written new songs for the movie — and a book by Arthur Kopit. The original Broadway production won the Tony Award for Best Musical and Best Score.

The film will star Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis as film director Guido Contini, and fellow Oscar winners Marion Cottilard as Luisa, Sophia Loren as Guido’s mother, Nicole Kidman as Claudia, Dame Judi Dench as Liliane Le Fleur, and Penelope Cruz as Carla, along with pop star Fergie as Saraghina, and Kate Hudson as Stephanie.
