The full cast is set for Gold Dust Orphans’ production of Whizzin’!, April 24-May 24, at the Machine Theater. An adult version of The Wizard of Oz, Whizzin’ tells the musical story of Dorothy Gale as she travels over the rainbow, far from the dull trailer parks of Hyannis to the recesses of her own mind.
There, in the “The Land of Id”, there is a pill popping Glinda, gay Munchkins, an agoraphobic Tin Man, a painfully insecure Lion, a cell phone addicted Scarecrow, and the sociopathic Wicked Witch of the South End flies in for a spell.
The cast will include Afrodite, Cheri Amour, Olive Another, Penny Champagne, Billy Hough, Ryan Landry, Megan Love, and Rick Park.
