Full cast and creative team information has been announced for the Seattle Children’s Theatre’s world premiere production of John Olive’s Pharaoh Serket and the Lost Stone of Fire, to play SCT’s Charlotte Martin Theatre, January 30-March 7. Kurt Beattie will direct.
In the play, the mysterious Zalira and sneeze-afflicted palace scribe, Bakneb, must aid the young and spoiled Pharaoh Serket if he is to escape death at the hands of his ever-present enemies.
The cast will include Trick Danneker (Pharaoh), Renata Friedman (Akana), Anthony Leroy Fuller (Captain Tau), Tim Hyland (Tessay and Asteth), Hana Lass (Zalira), David Pichette (Harkhuf and Thesh), and MJ Sieber (Bakneb). Sharia Pierce and Brandon Simmons are understudies.
The creative team will include fight choreographer Geoffrey Alm, costume designer Melanie Burgess, set designer Jennifer Lupton, puppet master Annett Mateo, lighting designer Rick Paulsen, and sound designer and composer Chris R. Walker.
