Gerard Alessandrini‘s Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking, which was originally slated to close on January 6, has announced an extension through April 28. Directed by Alessandrini, with co-direction by Phillip George and musical direction by David Caldwell, Forbidden Broadway plays at the 47th Street Theatre.

The satirical tuner features parodies of Broadway’s biggest shows and brightest stars, including Annie, Newsies, Book of Mormon, and more as well of send-ups of luminaries such as Matthew Broderick and Patti LuPone.

The cast includes Natalie Charlé Ellis, Scott Richard Foster, Jenny Lee Stern, and Marcus Stevens, with David Caldwell on piano.
