Several K-pop stars will appear in the musical when it makes its debut in Seoul in September.
Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes' Tony-winning musical In the Heights is boldly going where it's never gone before: Seoul, South Korea. The musical will play the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall in Hannam-dong beginning September 4, with a cast led by several K-pop stars including Key of SHINee and Jang Dong-woo of INFINITE sharing the role of Usnavi.
A press junket was recently held to introduce the cast to the media, and the results, which Miranda initially Tweeted about, are astounding. In this video, watch the company perform the show's titular opening number:
