Celebrate Father’s Day with John Raitt’s rendition of ”Carousel”’s “Soliloquy.”
As we've learned from Broadway this season (in shows like Big Fish and Violet), fatherhood can be a tough job. But no matter what happens down the road, dads start out with the best of intentions. No Broadway tune illustrates that point better than "Soliloquy" from Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel. Billy Bigelow is no one's idea of a perfect parent (or husband), but this song proves that he was planning to try his darndest.
