Five-Week Extension Announced for The Stendhal Syndrome; Tucci Will Replace Rossellini

| New York City |

March 5, 2004

The limited run of The Stendhal Syndrome, a program of two new one-act plays by Terrence McNally about the influence of art on life, has been extended through the end of April at Primary Stages’ new 59E59 theater.

For the extension, Maria Tucci will replace current star Isabella Rossellini, who will leave the production to resume filming the hit TV series Alias. Tucci has appeared on Broadway in The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore, The Rose Tattoo, The Night of the Iguana, and a number of other shows. The rest of the cast members of The Stendhal Syndrome — Richard Thomas, Michael Countryman, Jennifer Mudge, and Yul Vázquez — will remain.
